Harnessing the power of storytelling to envision the future of water

The United Nations projects that in the year 2030 nearly half of the world’s population will be living in areas of high water stress if current climate change predictions persist.

The Blue Roots Project aims to shift how the world values this most precious resource. We’re asking you to contribute stories about water in your life and community to begin this global conversation. Places around the world face different challenges related to water. Instead of trying to come up with a one-size-fits-all solution, we are asking for input from around the world to help us understand what problems exist and how the water crisis affects people on local levels.

We’ve partnered with Circle of Blue and the Project Wet Foundation to facilitate this global conversation. From classrooms, to conferences, to the places you live, the Blue Roots Project is asking for your help.
